In 2017, Residents of Tolworth were invited to have their say on plans for the future of their area. Kingston Council along with the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Transport for London (TfL) jointly commissioned the urban planning consultancy We Made That to develop a transformation programme for Tolworth, known as the Tolworth Area Plan (TAP).
The TAP sets out a future vision for Tolworth to help inspire new development and initiatives capable of delivering physical, social and economic improvements.

We are now running a final stage of consultation to give residents, stakeholders and the wider community the opportunity to comment on the updated draft, which incorporates previous issues raised through previous engagement.
