The school street trial for St Paul's Primary School on Alexandra Road will be a timed closure between 08:15-09:30am and 14:30-15:30pm during school term times only starting from 28 September 2020.

We are running this scheme in direct response to issues raised by residents and councillors.

This scheme uses Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras and runs the full length of Alexandra Road, covering residents of Rosewood Court and Cherrywood Close. If you live on any of these three roads, you are exempt from the restrictions but MUST register your vehicle here - please note that this will be from 4 September 2020.

Please note, that the scheme will run using ANPR cameras, but at present, there are no cameras enforcing the school street. Please do still follow the current restrictions. Cameras will be installed in October 2020.

If you are a parent at the school, we encourage you to make sustainable travel choices where possible including walking and cycling. If you do need to drive, you must not enter the restricted zone, park safely and walk the rest of your journey.

You can return to the School Street homepage here.

Please see our frequently asked questions for more information on the scheme.
