This survey closed in March 2021 - key findings can be found below.

The majority of respondents to the survey were Kingston tenants who made up 59.5% of the responses. 29.1% of responses were from Kingston leaseholders, followed by 10.7% of leaseholders. 10 respondents identified as other and - for example a caretaker or relative of a resident that was either a tenant or leaseholder.

60.5% agreed or strongly agreed that the quality of their home was good. 17.4% neither agreed or disagreed, 14.8% disagreed and 7.1% strongly disagreed.

68.2% agreed or strongly agreed that their neighbourhood was a nice place to live. 20.3% neither agreed or disagreed, 8% disagreed and 3.2% strongly disagreed.

22.8% agreed or strongly agreed that the council listens to their views and acts on them. 36.7% neither agreed or disagreed, 22.2% disagreed and 18% strongly disagreed.

39.9% agreed or strongly agreed that their service charges are good value for money. 29.3% neither agreed or disagreed, 18% disagreed and 10.6% strongly disagreed.

67.2% agreed or strongly agreed that the building they live in provides a safe and secure home. 12.2% neither agreed or disagreed, 15.4% disagreed and 4.8 strongly disagreed.

32.2% agreed or strongly agreed that they are able to access the right service in the council when they need help. 22.2% neither agreed or disagreed, 21.9% disagreed and 23.2% strongly disagreed.

52.7% had a repair carried out in the previous 12 months.

68.1% were satisfied with the repairs service.

We are keen to hear your views and learn from your experience as a Council Tenant or Leaseholder. The results of the survey will be used to shape and improve the delivery of housing services in the future.

This survey is open to current tenants and leaseholders living in Kingston, except those living on the Cambridge Road Estate who will have been contacted separately via the regeneration programme.

The survey will close on 31 March 2021.

If you complete the survey with your name and contact details, you will enter a prize draw to win shopping vouchers at a supermarket of your choice.

We will also be hosting a virtual Housing Conference - an online forum for residents to share their views on services - on 9 June 2021. If you are interested in coming to the online conference please register by email to involvedinhousing@kingston.gov.uk
