our deepest condolences to the Royal Family we pray that the Prince is finally at peace. He was an unsung hero to many of us. The work that he did to help so many less fortunate people and also the charities that he had set up to help all age groups. The most important one was the Duke of Edinborough scheme which helped so many young people.

Such moving tributes to Prince Philip and I am sure these were a great comfort to the Queen. He was a man we all felt we knew, even if we hadn't met him - intelligent, articulate and a very 'human' person. Our thoughts are with the family - rest in peace.

We always think our families will be around forever, sadly that is not the case, the shock and pain that you feel with the loss of someone so dear is heartbreaking. I hope the Queen and her family can seek comfort in the many great memories they have shared and all the great causes Prince Philip championed.
My deepest sympathies to all the family at this sad time xx

HRH Prince Philip was a witty and engaging man who knew how to put people at ease. I was fortunate to meet him and work with him at the Duke of Edinburgh's Award for many years. I can truly say that the nurturing, character developing experiences I had working at the DofE were as rewarding as doing the Gold Award. The regional head office for the Award Scheme was in New Malden for many years. Working there and at the Head Office in Windsor was life changing. HRH Prince Philip's contribution to this country was immense, his work ethic and dedication unwavering. My sincere condolences to the Royal family.

I was lucky and proud to meet His Royal Highness many years ago when I was around 15 during a visit to a youth club I was in, for the Duke of Edinburgh's award scheme, and found him to be an absolute star.
He was friendly towards all of the members and stayed long past the hour he should have been there.
God has received a great man
