This website invites you to take part in in discussions and consultations that interest you in Kingston. By having your say, you can help influence decision making on local issues that matter to you.

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic we had to pause our regular engagement with you to provide essential support to residents, helping vulnerable people across the borough. Many of our staff changed their roles to make sure we could support our residents and we worked alongside some amazing community groups and volunteer organisations to keep everyone safe. It was a real team effort.

While there is still a threat to public health, we remain ready to step up our support at any time. However, as long as we work together to keep the situation under control, we can now return to working with you to shape the future for Kingston and how we may all live and work.

We have a number of opportunities for you to tell us what you think, and get involved with shaping that future now and over the coming weeks and months.

Live and open until 14 September - Kingston Residents Covid Impact Survey

We’ve all felt the impact of COVID-19. We’d like you to tell us how the last few months have affected you, your family and friends. Sharing your experience will help us understand what support we can offer in future. Please take the survey at

Live and open for 6 months - Low Traffic Neighbourhoods

Four new, temporary low traffic neighbourhoods (LTNs) will be introduced across the borough from next month to help tackle through-traffic (‘rat-runs’) in residential neighbourhoods and maximise space for pedestrians and cyclists. They will also play a vital role in improving air quality, delivering safer roads and promoting active travel. Our dedicated LTNs consultation page is open and answers to some of your questions available at

Live and open until 02 October - Have your say on the future of housing in the borough

A national housing crisis was going on long before the pandemic but the need for sustainable homes for the future is even more critical as people reflect on living arrangements and reconsider their options. We are at the early stages of developing a new approach to the housing we need in the borough. We want to offer genuine improvements to housing options for residents. We need to know your views to help us do that.

Live and open until 21 October - Reimagining Kingston’s Libraries

Libraries are at the heart of our community. We want them to be places where you want to be - and offer things of interest and value to communities across Kingston. We’d really like them to play a role in all our futures. We will be asking you to share your ideas on how we can make this happen.

We will keep this website updated with the latest information on community engagement projects and consultations. Why not sign up so we can keep you in the loop and you can get involved in projects you're interested in.
