Help shape the future of council services - Feb update
Thank you to everyone who responded to our surveys and attended our workshops on the future of our green spaces, our ongoing relationship with the voluntary and community sector and our proposals to introduce a 20mph speed limit across the borough. We’ve had over 1000 responses to these surveys and over 450 people attended our workshops and events. We are crunching the numbers and reading through responses at the moment. Feedback will be available on the portal soon.
Over the next few weeks we will be asking for your thoughts on our ‘Healthy Streets’ proposals. In January 2020, Kingston Town, Surbiton, South of the Borough and Malden and Coombe Neighbourhood Committees considered reports outlining the findings of a Healthy Streets study undertaken in the borough.
The aim of the study was to identify potential locations and measures for improving sustainable transport, in order to reduce through-traffic and encourage walking, cycling and public transport use in the area. We will be rolling these out over the coming months and asking for your feedback on how well they are working.
