Kingston Council is creating a new Equalities, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.
Equality issues affect all of us. We are committed to ensuring our services are accessible to all, promoting a borough that is inclusive and fair, and to being representative of the communities we serve. This new strategy will underline this commitment, guiding our focus for the next five years.
The strategy will cover all 9 protected characteristics. The protected characteristics are:
Age
Disability
Gender reassignment
Marriage and civil partnership
Pregnancy and maternity
Race
Religion or belief
Sex
Sexual orientation
By completing the survey or sending us your ideas, you are helping to make sure this strategy is as meaningful as possible for our residents. We want to hear from a wide range of residents across all of the different characteristics, and from all of our diverse communities.
If you require any of these documents or the survey in a more accessible format, please contact engagement@kingston.gov.uk or call 020 8547 5000.
