Sunday 22 September 2019 is World Car Free Day and we’re celebrating across the borough with street parties, tree trails, guided walks and bike rides, play streets and more to help improve air quality and tackle climate change.
We're really keen to hear how you're celebrating too, so please let us know below what you're going to be getting up to and whether you want to make a pledge to make fewer car journeys.
Take a look as the What's on Where section and the Forms & Surveys section for activity signup.
Whatever you choose to do, we hope you can give the car a rest and enjoy our glorious borough!

What will you be doing on Car Free Day? Whether you'll be exploring the borough on foot, visiting one of the planned events or attending a street party, let us know below.
Even better, why not consider making a pledge to make fewer trips by car?
We have decided that we do not need, or want, a car and have formally taken ours off the road (SORN) and will be donating it to a charity for scrapping. We will continue to travel a lot and will do that by public transport. For all local journeys, e.g. into the town centre, we will continue to walk.
