Business Survey - Vehicle Tracking, Electric Vehicles and e-Cargo Bikes

In 2020, the UK government announced the 2030 ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel cars. Across the UK energy suppliers are now building rapid charging infrastructure powered by renewable energy to accommodate a mass transition to electric vehicles (EVs) by 2030. However, to date, the adoption of EVs by businesses across the UK has been slow.

Kingston Council declared Climate Emergency in 2019 and would like to support businesses in the borough to transition to lower carbon forms of activity. This survey asks local businesses their views on using vehicle tracking systems, switching to electric vehicles and e-cargo bikes.

The feedback we gather from local businesses will provide the evidence required to apply for funding to undertake research and support future applications for funding and grants to aid the transition to electric vehicles.

The survey should be filled by any business operating in the Royal Borough of Kingston.

Take part in pilot studies

We are also asking businesses if they are interested in participating in pilot studies. One of the proposed studies will involve trialling a vehicle tracking system and another will involve trialling a cargo bike. There is space on the survey to leave your contact details if you would like to take part in a pilot study.

Next Steps

Responses will be compiled and analysed and shared within a month after the survey closes.

If you require any of these documents or the survey in a more accessible format, please contact strategy@kingston.gov.uk or call 020 8547 5000.
